Navi Mumbai: Sub-national polio immunization campaign will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022, under the jurisdiction of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC). Every child between 0 and 5 years old receives a dose of polio. The city’s mayor, Abhijit Bangar, instructed the health department to properly plan polio vaccination.

India is polio-free. However, since polio is still widespread in other countries, the Pulse Polio campaign is being carried out across the country to prevent a resurgence.

They were also trained not to hold the baby’s hand when marking with a pen on the left wrist. At the time of vaccination, instructions were given to surrounding the cabins with two feet of chalk to maintain social distancing. Instructions will be given to everyone to follow COVID safety rules and get immunizations correctly.

Children not vaccinated on 09/18/2022 will be vaccinated in the next 5 days by 875 teams from the Municipal Secretary of Health during home visits. Each team carefully planned this according to its area of responsibility.
